...a few frayed nerves later

Hello beautiful blog community. :)

I know yall must have missed me... cause I know I have missed yall...(whoever's out there) *although, maybe not the wierdos.

For those who do not follow much of my life on fb, Jay and I (with the assistance of his grandparents who live out of state) made quite a trek the last few weeks. Which just to spare the details, included a road trip through Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Nebraska. Whew! Typing all those states even made me tired of traveling!! Well, driving anyway. I'd fly anywhere at any time!! :) So on top of all that, we had to load, half unload, and finish unloading all of our stuff into storage. Jay said, "I'll never move us again! I'll pay to have someone come in and move us!" So needless to say... we have a bunch of "stuff". This is a picture of just some of the shenanigans that went on during the traveling.
Let me just say, he does not make a very good lap dog.

Anywho, we (Jay's granparents [we'll call them gpa and gma]) finally made it back to where I'll be staying with the kiddos (Colt and Annie) at their house in Colorado. All I can say is "WOW about the weather... It's in the 50's and 60's in the morning and I can see the wet mountains just sitting on their back porch. Maybe tomorrow I'll post a few pics of the scenery.

Today was the first day I had to get organized and get some other stuff done that I needed to do. Change my oil, bathe the dogs, organize my camper (which I'm staying in), go to the post office to mail some packages, grocery shop, bank-deposit checks, activate new debit cards, etc. Little did I know what a chaotic day I was going to have.

I started my day off about 730, got up, had coffee and a bowl of cereal, went on a bike ride up the hill at the end of the street, got back, showered, had to go get gpa from the transmission shop, and then started my trek for a BofA. Oh, how convenient that I have a smartphone that will allow me to google and find where the closest one is. "There are no banking centers within 25 miles of your location." >:( OK, I'll just deposit my checks at the ATM. "3 results" except all of them do not have the check deposit option. >:( OK, so I guess I can just go activate my cards, and then just go deposit my checks the end of the week when I have to go to a major city. Now to just find an ATM.... about 20 minutes later, I find out that where I was looking, the whole time, it was across the street in a gas station. Yea, thanks... that would have been nice to know. Maybe document it in the notes about the location where it says they don't have the check deposit option. UGH!

So, bank-semi "check". On to the next thing. (keep in mind Gpa is still riding around with me in the gocart[that's what we call my car]) Gpa remembers that he had to go pick up Gma's computer from the shop. "check!" OH, and we had to go pick up Toby Joe's meds. Toby Joe is Gma and Gpa's dog. He's a sweety but is very skiddish like Annie. Which reminds me, I will be purchasing the "Thundershirt" sometime this week for one or both of them. So, dog meds-"check!" By this time, it's lunch time and I'm hungry, so I run back to the house to drop Gpa off and eat a sandwhich.

After lunch, I went to get my oil change. This is where my day got entertaining. As I was waiting, a gentleman came in with a mustache that looked like a firecracker had gone off in his face. ...So I took a picture. :)
Although you may not be able to see the whole thing, you can see the gray part on the side. I litterally laughed out loud when I took the picture. To the man in this picture, Thank you for having that awesome stash. :) I'm sure taking pictures without people knowing is some sort of illegal, but how do the people of walmart get away with it?

So anyway, I went on with my day and as soon as I pull out of the driveway of the oil change place, a guy on a motorcycle comes up behind me.... Me-"HOLY COW! IT'S HULK HOGAN!!!" So, as I pull up to a red light, he pulls around me.
Ok, so maybe he's NOT the Hulk. He's too skinny.

This story brings me to my next statement. (I'm beginning to think that CO people don't like Texas drivers. [I still have my TX license plates on my car.]

I made it to the grocery store and then had to go on this 25 min. endeavor trying to find the dang post office. I gave up looking, and went to drop off the groceries and regroup and try to figure out where the dang post office was. Gpa ended up going with me to find it, I have 3 packages and some mail to send. Yay, one more thing off the list. NOT! This crappy post office does not send stuff for fedex. What??! Yea, so they tell me I have to go drop it off in town by safeway. (which is a grocery store, I had no idea what it was). So Gpa, with a beer in his hand in the passenger seat, navigates me to the place to drop off my fedex package.

Sigh.... Finally back and Gma cooked pot roast, home made mashed potatoes, gravy, and corn on the cob. MMMMmmmm...

So I do feel a bit better after posting this now, since I haven't given yall anything in a while. Jay is talking about getting a laptop :) so I won't have to use Gpa's. After that, maybe yall can expect some more art work. Maybe of Toby Joe, who knows. It depends on how I feel that day.

Alrighty, well I'm off to bed. I have a few things on my list that I didn't accomplish today due to the lack of cooperation from the other things that I managed to finish today. Cheerio!

^^(not really sure where that came from)^^^
