Jingle all the way.

So, it is the week of Christmas...the Tuesday before to be exact. Christmas is Sunday. Which kinda sucks for the working world, since they will have to go back to work the day after Christmas celebration extravaganza! and that sucks... I said that already though.

Holy Schimolies Ironman! (only about 2 of you will get that..) Have you seen the show The New Girl on FOX? It's seriously my new favorite show... Jess is as rediculously awkward as me!

I cannot believe how fast this year has flown by!

Our Christmas tree looks like crap. ... I know that's random, but...Just sayin. I am sitting here in plain view of it. It's leaning terribly, and I never found our solid colored ball ornaments so only our ... what do you call those exactly... "other ornaments" (including the two pairs of feather birds we have) are on the tree. I managed to find some poinsettas to cut and put in the tree from last year, so that helped fill in the holes. It's pretty sad.

This will be our (Jay and I's) first Chistmas, just us... me and him... and the two four legged children. Here are the kids in their Christmas attire. :) Love it... They on the other hand, were obviously miserable. :)

TEEHEE!!! Penguin man cracks me up... he was pissed. Sister is pretty use to it :)... she's a girl. :)
Anywho... I'm going back to my episodes of shows I've missed :).

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YA'LL!

Christmas Trees... the kind that smell like outside...not plastic :)

So this year is the first year that I've had a real Christmas tree in... well, a long long time. As a matter of fact, I bearly remember any of our trees being real... but I know we had them, because my mom always had to vacuum around the bottom part of the tree due to the massive amounts of needles that fell.

Well, when me and Jay got married, we (meaning me) got a prelit artificial tree on sale at Garden Ridge. Well, that tree is still in storage, and rather than me driving four hours then have to put the thing up (also being nervous that the lights may give me hell) I decided to go get one of the real ones. And Jay agreed. **Suprisingly**

So I got to go pick out a tree, by myself (which I wasn't seriously thrilled about) and managed to haul it in the house by myself too! Pretty proud of myself. :) Let me just say, I've had the tree in the house less than 24 hours, and I think I have swept under and around the tree like ... oh, 10 times already... This thing better survive when we go out of town for a week. :/

So, new REAL tree, means I needed to get lights for it! :) If you haven't learned by now... it's the little things in life that excite me... like silly shaped pencil topper "erasers" that don't even erase quat, they more like smear around the lead on your paper, making it look dreadful. That's the time you just scratch out the word and the smears and write the new word next to it. ...[just realized how completely off topic I am]...anyway... that's how I feel about Chistmas lights.

So, before Jay had to go to work, he helped me get the tree straight so that I could decorate it tonight and have something beautiful to look at while I'm sitting next to the fire :) It's suppose to start snowing late tonight and tomorrow, so I'm definately going to be doing everything indoors. :)

A predicament that I have run into though, is that our roof is very tall and in fact taller than our ladder that we have... so I am afraid I will be limited to our outside house decorations this year. :( Oh well, more to look forward to next year, I suppose.

Ho Ho Ho...oh, excuse me... I had to clear my throat

It's officially Christmas Time! The Christmas lights are getting strung up on houses and mantels are getting decorated in red and green. I love this time of year! The snow just kind of solidifies the fact that it is the time of year! :)

I hope all yall had an awesome Thanksgiving with family and friends. I know I did! We got to head south and spend it with both sides of our family. It was great! My cuz, Cricut took our holiday pictures for our Christmas cards. It was 78 degrees. It was kind of miserable, but I can't tell you the last time I've laughed so hard. Here are some of the pics she took.

(notice the wardrobe change, due to excessive sweating)

She's pretty talented. But we had to have a little fun of our own... :) Here's some of that!

One thing I learned that day... EVERYTHING is more fun with a mustache. :)

I've got just about all of my Christmas shopping done! I only have one other person to buy for! Oh, and here's a little artwork by request... :)

Meet Paul and Pauline turkey!

Ok yall! Have a good week. I'll try to post again before Christmas! :)

It's Holiday Season!

So here it is, already the middle of November! AGH! That means that Christmas is right around the corner! Holy Cow!

I was recently introduced to a really cool program called Dropbox. It's basically like a file sharing system that you can use with whoever you want. **This includes music!** All you have to do is take the file that you want to share and drop or copy it into the drop box folder, then send an invitation (email) to share the folder with whoever. It's so cool! I have just aquired about 60 new songs thanks to my Dad.(who I introduced it to, and loves it because it also has an app!) So you can access your shared files from your phone.

So I am currently jamming to some old school country thanks to my pop's great taste in music. (Dolly, Hank Jr. AND Sr., Don Williams, Brooks & Dunn (but have they ever made a song that wasn't a hit??!) and other astonishing country artists who wrote the book for these now a day country artists.
"Dancin in the kitchen till the mornin' light...Lousiana Saturday night..."

In other news, my Scentsy business has really kicked off! Although, I'm afraid once people know I'm a consultant and place their first order from me, the sales will start to dwindle. I suppose we shall see. But to explain how good it has been, I will explain to you how many goals i've already passed....

First 15 days goal = done
First month goal = done
First 70 days goal = only $18 from this goal!

I'm kind of excited about the Holiday season to be upon us! But this means traveling, and traveling means booking flights. And as some of yall know (as oilfield wives) you are a wife, friend, chef, secretary, and travel agent; among many other things. We have a very busy schedule until the week before Christmas. So this week, I'm trying to keep myself relaxed and collected, trying to keep things organized in my head, then suddenly have short twinges of anxiety knowing that I have so much to do before we travel! And on top of things, I am also running a new business and need to have things shipped here and I may not be here when they arrive! Agh! *which is another thing I need to wrap my head around (what to order, when to order, when it'll be here...) Ugh...

Oh, Good news! I went to apply for my college again, since I got in last semester, but didn't go. (not because I'm a slacker [which i kinda am nowadays] but because I wasn't here yet. Anyway, I didn't have to apply again, all I had to do was call them, and now all I have to do is wait and see what all classes transfer over and then figure out what classes I can take! :) I am planning on doing online classes, because, well just like I told the admissions lady..."I'm from Texas, and I don't do the whole driving on the icy-snow stuff, because I'll end up in a ditch, so the less driving I have to do, the better... for the whole community..." She laughed in her yankee laugh... example: "oooo-oo-oo-haha" wierdo yankees.

But... Jay and I are having our Christmas pictures taken for our Christmas cards while down for Thanksgiving, and I have no idea what to wear, or do with my hair.... another situation I have to think about...did I mention how excited I am to see some of my South East TX family? ok... well let me try to express the exitement... DJSKLFJOEIJLANNDIFAELJFAJAHHHHHHHH! .....hope that gets my point across!

Here, I drew you something..because I love you. :)
Yes, those are fireworks.... during the day. And they are beautiful. And the sun likes them too...unless he's high. then in that case he LOVES them. :) and that is me, squeeling in such an excited pitch that only dogs can hear.

I will try to draw yall another pic maybe during a flight or something, because, frankly, I don't see myself posting anything before Thanksgiving. [remember, i'm a slacker] Maybe something to do with snow, dogs...me... who knows...PEACE YALL.

Happy Halloween!!!

Today was pretty eventful! Jay is on his week off for work, and so we took the time to run some errands around town and get all our stuff taken care of to be able to hunt (hunters license, duck stamp, gun, etc.). Yep, that's right, I got a new gun! It's a 20 gauge Benelli youth gauge shot gun! So exciting!

We hope to go hunt SOMETHING this week sometime. Hopefully phesant. :) I've never been. Jay says when they flush up that they are going to scare the crap outta me, but we'll see. Pretty excited about that too.

I also signed up to be a Scentsy consultant! If you've never heard of it, it's pretty cool. They are basically scented wax warmers. We call them wickless candles (and flameless). :) So if you are interested in hosting a party (online or at your home) let me know! If you'd like to order off my site, it will ship right to your door!
Here's my site: https://perfectscentsbyalley.scentsy.us/Home feel free to order! :)

KEEP IN MIND, CHRISTMAS IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!!! Scentsy warmers make awesome Christmas presents and you can combine some items to lower your total price!!

Ok, off the Scentsy soap box, we had two sets of two trick-or-treat-ers at our house... I was super excited since we are the last house on the street in the opposite direction of the subdivision entrance. :/
Oh well. More candy for me! :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

The end of October...Already? Sheesh!

So, I think a post is a little overdue, but you'll understand when I tell you that I've been busy getting our new house situated and organized. Yep, we finally got our house. It's pretty amazing, not gonna lie. REAL Hardwood floors, stainless steel kitchen appliances, gas fireplace, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths... which might I add-the spare bathroom is the only room in the house that is completely decorated. Anywho, super nice. Even though I know the only people who will see it is most likely the people who already live in Williston. :) No worries, I understand, It's freakin' cold up here.
All the "locals" (not sure why that should have quotes... just seems fitting I guess...) say that usually there is snow on the ground by now. With this underlying tone of worry. Making it sound like an inevitable people-killing-blizzard-snow storm is to occur at any given moment.

So, A lot has happened in since the last post. Me and Jay flew down to Houston and Fort Worth to visit some family and friends for his week off, and we went to Ranch Bash (Which was an awesome beginning to a chaotic night, but fun none-the-less). We had a really great time visiting family and meeting new friends. Chuck even drove us up and went to the concert with us! You can see some of the Ranch Bash pictures on my FB page. (If I'm not friends with you on FB, then you'll never be able to see them, and that sucks for you.) That was one crazy night, I hope I never have to relive...well at least part of it. :)

Let's see... What else should I talk about.... OH! The Texas Rangers are in the WORLD SERIES!! Last night was game 4 and they won! So, now they stand 3-2 Rangers in the series!!! They came so close last year, they deserve it this year! LET'S GO RANGERS!

So, since I have been working on getting the house in order, I've basically been inside all day, every day, and it is making my two 4-legged children BONKERS! That and the fact that it's cold outside, and... I don't really want to go out there...I'm a terrible parent. We don't have a fence for our yard yet, but they say we should have it "next year"... I dunno if that means January "next year" or "next year" as in a year from the time we moved in... Hmm... So the pups have a stake with two lines on it for them. I don't know what I'm going to do when it starts SNOWING.... I am told that I should expect close to 200 inches of snow this season... so I am to assume we may be having to dig out a walkway to the back yard for the pups... :/ yay.

Colt has become quite a talker since living in CO. I can almost make him say "I love you" in the morning, when he is buggin' me and trying to get me to either feed him or let him out. Annie would prefer to stay in bed all day long if she could. So she seems irritated by the fact that Colt is so... energetic. He is constantly bringing me his ball to throw to him, but since we do not have a rug for the living room yet, I usually just roll it to him, or throw it directly at him (no violence involved) so he can catch it. Or else, I end up with scratch marks in the floor where he peels out like a cartoon character for a few seconds from not getting traction on the floors before getting to his ball.

Did I mention that I sweep like 4 times a week... I've never swept that much in my life. I guess it's the fact that the floors are a darker wood, so the (colt) hair shows up a lot more. The only carpet in the house is in the 3 bedrooms. The bathrooms and laundry/mud room have tile and everything else (kitchen, dining, and living room) have wood floors.

Our TV is going to be mounted above our fireplace, which will be new for us, since our TV sat on a stand at the last place, and leaves us with a useless piece of furniture now... :/ good thing it's a piece of crap, and weighs like 1,358,259,564,223 pounds. :) I don't even know what number that is... I know it's past a billion... Right????

I haven't drawn anything for a long time, I kinda miss the hilarity in that whole process. :) I know I keep saying "maybe I'll draw..." and I never do... yea well... I got crap to do... only not really. Today, I felt completely useless. I can't hang anything on the walls, because Jay wants to be there to put his say in the matter. "I think this duck mount would look better in the dining room..." uh.. yea... he's a duck hunter.... We have 3 new mounts that were added to our "collection" right before we moved. Thing is ... Where the heck to put them... Put them in the guest bedroom and freak our guests out to where they can't sleep, put them in the dining room and gross our guests out.... So it will either be in the computer/craft/scrapbook room or in our bedroom... next to my bridal portrait.... how romantic. :/ They are beautiful birds, don't get me wrong, but I just don't know if this house is ... set up for mounts. The only place we can imagine his huge Canadian goose is above the fireplace, only that's where our tv is gonna go... sigh... "noooobody knowsss, the trouble I've...."

Ok, I also cook a lot too. So that keeps me pretty busy. Cook, Clean, unload dishwasher, load dishwasher, cook, clean, repeat... It's pretty lonely with Jay working so many hours, but he brings home big checks. :) which is good. Did I mention we are the new owners of a Can-Am 4-wheeler? Yep, when we were down in Houston, we bought a 2011 model and it is AWESOME! It has a seat for a passenger, so it's "legal" for me to ride behind Jay. It has a back rest and handles for me to hold on to... which I've already gripped them so tight there are scratch marks... (not really, those are from a tree, when Jay was climbing up the bank of a creek bed). But they really are handy.

So that new friend I met while being locked out... we've been to lunch once a week every week since I moved into the house, with the exception of the week we were down in Houston. :) She's really cool. I think she'll be my friend for a while at least... until she realizes what an odd-ball I am. :)

Anyway, I gotta get to the kitchen to load the dishwasher before Jay gets home and it doesn't look like I've done anything all day. :/

Undo's.

So today, I got locked out of the apartment (which is easy to do since it is card key entry) and had to go to the apartment office and get the girl at the front desk to let me in. Turns out she's really cool!

So when trying to make a good first impression, usually good conversation is key.

Well, as we walked to the apartment we talked about the weather and how nervous I am about the impending doom that is to come. She agreed that there was no way for me to prepare for it, although last year's winter was REALLY bad compared to normal winters. (kinda made me feel a little better, although, not much) I then asked about the road conditions and such as I am not use to driving in snow or ice (although my previous home town had the occasional snow and ice). She informed me that they do plow a lot of the roads and pretty frequently. I then said, "OH, GOOD! As long as I'm able to get to the store for my pasta and bread!"

What... The... Hell did I just say??! Can I just take back that last 15 seconds of my life???! normal people wouldn't have gone over their most frequently purchased shopping list items... Right??! That's not normal. That's wierd. Pasta and bread?? really??? how about milk and eggs, or cereal, or hey, think about someone other than yourself and say DOGFOOD! ugh! I guess I was socially unavailable at that point in time.

She just laughed, and agreed. hm. We then carried on conversation of random blah-d-blah and such for another 2 minutes before I thanked her for coming down to let me in. She opened the door, and she went back to her office. I thought it was kinda cool for her to just hang out on my stoop and talk to me. She didn't seem to be in a hurry or irritated by having to come down. Up here, people just take their time doing things, and when they do them, there is little to no customer service.  So for her to actually take the time and be really nice, really made my day.

Now, I sure hope that I keep her as my friend. Because she's fun to talk to. :) ...and it would be really cool to know someone here now. :)

Home(somewhat)..and some other la-ti-da randomness.

So I am officially in the "Arctic Circle" where it is currently 66 degrees. HA! It's suppose to be in the 70's today but later next week it is suppose to start getting cooler. (high's in the upper 60's and lows in the upper 30's) not really sure I'm prepared for what is about to ensue (weather wise).

Well let me just tell you all how much of a pain in the ba-donka-donk it is to get a license in a new state if you have lost your previous license. I have to have my ORIGINAL birth certificate and my marriage license in order to even be able to take the written driving test to get my PERMIT. (yes, i'm 15 again). Then once I get my permit I have to take a phsical driving test with someone. (Which I never had to do when I got my TX license...maybe because I was 18...) Did I mention that I do not have possession of my birth certificate?? Yea, I believe it is still in my parentals possession. (HOPEFULLY)

So now I'm just driving around somewhat illegally... [Side note: Dear Government, Please do not track me down with your crazy satellites just to arrest me for driving under such conditions, and for being such a dingbat when I'm at an airport therefore causing me to throw away my TX license. My temporary paper one is still good, North Dakota is just not as cool as TX and don't "accept" paper licenses. Thanks, Bye.]

On a happier note, Jay and I will be coming to Texas in a little over a week and a half! :) Pretty excited, since I will have not seen any of my friends or family in almost 3 months! We are coming down to go to a Texas Music Concert where there will be several Texas Country artists. :) Pretty excited, and hope the weather stays decent, and not sweltering like I hear it still is down there. It's kinda nice not having to change your clothes after just walking to your car from walmart due to the massive amount of sweat your body has created. Imagine being thrown in a giant hot tub with all your clothes on and the feeling you have when you first stand back up on solid ground. Ew. I hate wet clothes.

So, I dunno if any of you have started watching any of the new fall TV shows, but I have! NBC, ABC, Fox... you name it, I've got a new favorite show...or old favorite that has come back on for the new season. Here is a rough list of all the new/old shows I have become addicted to...

Whitney-NBC
Broke Girls-NBC
Castle-ABC
Grey's Anatomy-ABC
Private Practice-ABC
Awkward-MTV
Up All Night-NBC
PanAm-ABC

...I think that's all for now. OH, and there are two other shows on ABC that haven't started yet that I think are gonna be really good too. Suburgatory and Once upon a time.

I am going to attempt to start going to some classes at a nearby gym. I have become absolutely unattractively flabby in places I shouldn't. Hopefully, I will be able to stay motivated enough to go, and not make myself stay home to watch all those dang shows! :/
I want to take Zumba, Power Sculpt, and Power Ride (which I'm just not so sure about...) I will let you know how it goes. I start tonight. Wish me luck! :)

::UPDATE:: Power Ride was utterly ridiculous. I left early, my legs actually felt like they were going to fall off my body. Walking to the car, I'm sure what quite humorous, I felt like I had very little control of my legs. I am so glad that they did not give out on me and allow me to collapse in the middle of the parking lot. Cause THAT would have been absolutely embarrassing.

Globe Trotter-or maybe just some of the US :)

So, today I decided that it's been like another month since I've posted... so I decided to go ahead and update the world on what I've been doing. :)

I also realized that I did not post pics of my journey around the U.S. while attempting to move. So this blog may have a ton of pics.

We have some good (family) friends about an hour and a half away from where we will be living in the "arctic circle". And so we went to stay with them for a few days. They have two kids who are just too cute. Here are some pictures of me and Shorty playing dress up. She had some old prom dresses that we traded off trying on. :)

This one is her "FAVORITE!"

This one, she said, "Now this one is REALLY big... it goes almost all the way to my bellybutton!" Her statement made a little more sense when I got it on.

Here is a picture of their boy "D" in Gpa's glasses.

"D" playing with Colt and Annie

They have 3 kittnes from the same litter. Romeo, ChickPea, and Teddy. Turns out they are all boys.
(And ChickPea's name is still ChickPea) :)
They have kittens that they insisted that I hold... This is Romeo and ChickPea.

This is something that I put together for my mom for the fall season.
They are called Mumpkins.

I've done a bit of site-seeing by myself, and the dogs of course. :) Although they acted like rabid banchees while we were out. So, they stayed in the car some of the time, so I could wander around without dislocating my shoulder/elbow/wrist/hand/fingers (from the pulling on the leashes). Annie's pretty good about the leash, but Colt... not so much. And he's to the point now where he pretty much rules me... :(

Here are some pictures of driving through Garden of the Gods.

For those of you who do not know what Garden of the Gods is, it is a group of red rock formation in the middle of white rock formations and hills/mountains. It's really interesting.

Then I drove over to Seven Falls. It was SO NEAT!

Pay no attention to the wierdo in the background. (It only took 10 minutes to get Colt to sit still enough to take this picture.)

On top of the falls, looking down.

Trails on top of the falls.
I dunno about you, but I know if I see a bear... I will not take the time to speak to him or her...
 Whew!!!! Back down!

So, I think that is enough pictures for now... I hope yall enjoyed it! So now, the update is that we still don't know anything about our house, but Jay is going to come and get me, the dogs, and the camper (that I've been staying in) and bring us up there to where he works/lives and I will live in the small 1 bedroom apartment that is basically a 1 bedroom hotel suite. BUT... it is VERY nice. So I'm pretty excited. Anywho... that's it for now! Till next time, hopefully I will post pretty soon. :)

...a few frayed nerves later

Hello beautiful blog community. :)

I know yall must have missed me... cause I know I have missed yall...(whoever's out there) *although, maybe not the wierdos.

For those who do not follow much of my life on fb, Jay and I (with the assistance of his grandparents who live out of state) made quite a trek the last few weeks. Which just to spare the details, included a road trip through Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Nebraska. Whew! Typing all those states even made me tired of traveling!! Well, driving anyway. I'd fly anywhere at any time!! :) So on top of all that, we had to load, half unload, and finish unloading all of our stuff into storage. Jay said, "I'll never move us again! I'll pay to have someone come in and move us!" So needless to say... we have a bunch of "stuff". This is a picture of just some of the shenanigans that went on during the traveling.
Let me just say, he does not make a very good lap dog.

Anywho, we (Jay's granparents [we'll call them gpa and gma]) finally made it back to where I'll be staying with the kiddos (Colt and Annie) at their house in Colorado. All I can say is "WOW about the weather... It's in the 50's and 60's in the morning and I can see the wet mountains just sitting on their back porch. Maybe tomorrow I'll post a few pics of the scenery.

Today was the first day I had to get organized and get some other stuff done that I needed to do. Change my oil, bathe the dogs, organize my camper (which I'm staying in), go to the post office to mail some packages, grocery shop, bank-deposit checks, activate new debit cards, etc. Little did I know what a chaotic day I was going to have.

I started my day off about 730, got up, had coffee and a bowl of cereal, went on a bike ride up the hill at the end of the street, got back, showered, had to go get gpa from the transmission shop, and then started my trek for a BofA. Oh, how convenient that I have a smartphone that will allow me to google and find where the closest one is. "There are no banking centers within 25 miles of your location." >:( OK, I'll just deposit my checks at the ATM. "3 results" except all of them do not have the check deposit option. >:( OK, so I guess I can just go activate my cards, and then just go deposit my checks the end of the week when I have to go to a major city. Now to just find an ATM.... about 20 minutes later, I find out that where I was looking, the whole time, it was across the street in a gas station. Yea, thanks... that would have been nice to know. Maybe document it in the notes about the location where it says they don't have the check deposit option. UGH!

So, bank-semi "check". On to the next thing. (keep in mind Gpa is still riding around with me in the gocart[that's what we call my car]) Gpa remembers that he had to go pick up Gma's computer from the shop. "check!" OH, and we had to go pick up Toby Joe's meds. Toby Joe is Gma and Gpa's dog. He's a sweety but is very skiddish like Annie. Which reminds me, I will be purchasing the "Thundershirt" sometime this week for one or both of them. So, dog meds-"check!" By this time, it's lunch time and I'm hungry, so I run back to the house to drop Gpa off and eat a sandwhich.

After lunch, I went to get my oil change. This is where my day got entertaining. As I was waiting, a gentleman came in with a mustache that looked like a firecracker had gone off in his face. ...So I took a picture. :)
Although you may not be able to see the whole thing, you can see the gray part on the side. I litterally laughed out loud when I took the picture. To the man in this picture, Thank you for having that awesome stash. :) I'm sure taking pictures without people knowing is some sort of illegal, but how do the people of walmart get away with it?

So anyway, I went on with my day and as soon as I pull out of the driveway of the oil change place, a guy on a motorcycle comes up behind me.... Me-"HOLY COW! IT'S HULK HOGAN!!!" So, as I pull up to a red light, he pulls around me.
Ok, so maybe he's NOT the Hulk. He's too skinny.

This story brings me to my next statement. (I'm beginning to think that CO people don't like Texas drivers. [I still have my TX license plates on my car.]

I made it to the grocery store and then had to go on this 25 min. endeavor trying to find the dang post office. I gave up looking, and went to drop off the groceries and regroup and try to figure out where the dang post office was. Gpa ended up going with me to find it, I have 3 packages and some mail to send. Yay, one more thing off the list. NOT! This crappy post office does not send stuff for fedex. What??! Yea, so they tell me I have to go drop it off in town by safeway. (which is a grocery store, I had no idea what it was). So Gpa, with a beer in his hand in the passenger seat, navigates me to the place to drop off my fedex package.

Sigh.... Finally back and Gma cooked pot roast, home made mashed potatoes, gravy, and corn on the cob. MMMMmmmm...

So I do feel a bit better after posting this now, since I haven't given yall anything in a while. Jay is talking about getting a laptop :) so I won't have to use Gpa's. After that, maybe yall can expect some more art work. Maybe of Toby Joe, who knows. It depends on how I feel that day.

Alrighty, well I'm off to bed. I have a few things on my list that I didn't accomplish today due to the lack of cooperation from the other things that I managed to finish today. Cheerio!

^^(not really sure where that came from)^^^

Hopeful Weekend Calamity

So this is my Mom, Me, Cricit, and my brother Chuck dancing randomly at the beach. :)

We are having the family July birthdays at my Aunt and Uncle's beach property! Hopefully there will be much craziness and slightly-drunken stuper. :) Then it's...."LEAVIN' ON A JET PLANE..." for Flo-rida! :) Where I get to see my Great Aunt, spend time with my parents and work on my tan (as you can see in the picture above, I am in dire need of one). P.S. Chuck is not as feminine as he is as a stick figure. In fact he has a wonderful girlfriend. Sorry Chuck.

p.s.s. I did try to draw everyone in swim gear, but it's more difficult to draw stick figures in swimsuits than you would think. Here's what I came up with before deciding to go with the above picture...
I say no. And a little less "Lady Gaga" like. So I put everyone in their clothes. :)

Packing, Family Reunion and VACA! ... OH MY!

So, I know that it's been a while since I posted, but I've had a lot going on. :)

I knew that I would be moving to the "arctic region" sometime within the next few months. Well I just found out last week that I would be moving the first week in August. BAHHHH!!!! So this is what my nights and weekends consist of....

**side note**
This is what I have been doing on my nights that I am not out getting my partay on with my new frand M... we'll call her Molly. Which I am so sad that I'm just now getting to be frands with. BUT, there is a possibility (rumor has it) that she may come up and live up near where we will be! :) SUPER YAY!
**end side note**

Also, last week I booked a vaca with my parents to go see my Great Aunt. Who lives ON THE BEACH!!!! I'm so excited, I just can't hide it. And this is me on the beach.

And this week, I will be going to a family reunion in O.K.L.A.H.O.M.A. on the lake! :D SUPER YAY! My MIL has a jet ski that she'll be bringing and I'm pretty darn stoked to be spending the week with my honey in our camper for the first time just us and the dogs! I know you're probably thinking... "oh yay, a family reunion...woo." No. Jay's family reunions are a lot of fun! This is what I get to look forward to this week! :)

My honey and a happy sun - hopefully we (me and the sun) get along this week, and I don't end up like precooked bacon. (which isn't too bad by the way).

Cricket.

Everyone meet Cricket. She's my bes-fran. She also happens to be related to me :)
She loves cats. (But not to the point of crying every time she thinks about them.) She has strays and drop-offs from time to time. Some stay at her work, some are at her house. She's got a big heart! :)

We do not live close to each other, but when we do get together, chaos ensues. Here is an example of a SLIGHTLY crazy time with Cricket.

Sometimes we get a little overwhelmed with the chaos and sometimes things start to not make sense or make us sound like we've been inhaling too much helium. Sometimes, it happens all at once. And we end up with strange conversations like "A circle with a triangle on top", or random words like "85". Crazy right?! There were also a few times that we made midnight snack runs to the kitchen. Miss Pearl PickleBottom may remember this as well. But the craziness does not get old.

With this in mind, let me tell you that we are both, completely sane people while we are doing our own thing. USUALLY. Although, I question my sanity more than I would ever question her sanity. (That girl has got it together!) But when we get together something happens to our (or maybe just mine) brains. I believe it is something similar to melting, only I think it involves glitter, beads and paper mache.

She is very crafty and talented with a camera! I love her to death, and dread thinking of not being able to drive down to visit whenever I can, when I move to the wintery tundra. Anyway... here's to you Cricket.

Food.

When I get hungry, I tend to get a little delusional, shaky, and quite frankly ...wierd. (more so than usual anyway).

I also tend to have a habit of eating wierd mixtures of things....

The french fries (also known as freedom fries[incase you may have forgotten]) with the ketchup and mayonnaise mixture can be attributed to my friends at lunch in high school, Miss Pearl PickleBottom. Which reminds me... do you remember that time I had the bag of reeces pieces explode all over the cafeteria???? Seriously, the most difficult bag of reeces pieces I've ever (tried to) open, still to this day! I'm talking, people 4 tables over were getting pelted from reeces pieces. I was totally humiliated, and only got about 5 pieces of candy for myself. You on the other hand, thought it was beyond comical, and laughed the entire way to PE. :( It was a sad day.

Anyway, back to food. Spaghetti and corn. When I was growing up, we always had corn with our spaghetti, so I would end up mixing it in with my spaghetti. Now I find it difficult to not have corn with it.

Pizza and ketchup. Ketchup is tomato sauce. Pizza sauce is tomato sauce with spices... if I need more sauce, and don't have dipping sauce, I use ketchup. :)

Cake ... is cake. Who doesn't love cake. And not necessarily chocolate cake as seen in the expensive and elaborate drawing. Pretty much any cake will do.

I probably have more odd mixtures of food, but I can't think of the others. Random comes in spurts.

Annie Girl

Meet Annie.

As I stated in my "Chaos that is me" link, she likes to have her nails painted. :) She is the princess of the family for sure.

Annie suffers from anxiety. When riding in the boat, she is wide-eyed the whole time. While vacuuming the house, she darts around from every corner of the house to the other. Well, I just recently heard of this amazing contraption called the "Thundershirt". It's for dogs with anxiety!! There is even a video of a dog reacting to the vacuum similar to how Annie does, and then shows the dog with the Thundershirt on and how they react to the vacuum after this. The dog is totally calm! I am amazed! I must purchase one.

For more info on the Thundershirt, go to their site: http://www.thundershirt.com/

It even comes in a pink, that would match her collar and her nail polish! :)

P.S. It is more difficult to draw a black dog than you would think.

**UPDATE** Colt and his Orange Rubbery-Hair-Ball-Thing

Ok, So as I'm pondering on this story, I'm thinking... "Wow, maybe this isn't the best story to introduce Colt to the world with." But he's really a great dog, and (you'll see) he has a great personality! He is actually my inspiration for the blog! :) Say hello to Colt. He has a camo collar.

OK, on to the story.

Jay has away for less than 6 hours now, and I'm watching a totally educational program. Maybe some of yall have heard of it. Jersey Shores?? I've never seen an episode before this day. Annie is laying by our couch relaxing, while Colt is playing with this toy. Which is a toy that I got in a Dairy Queen kids meal, that can only be described as a rubbery ball, covered in orange rubbery finger things. Which use to look something like this...
(If you've never seen one of these, you've never known a kid under the age of 7.)
About a month after he had it, it deflated. And now looks something like this....
After the deflation of this toy, it has in some way become more attractive for Colt to play with. He throws it for himself... into the air, into the wall, into the beta tank (yes that happened), and has actually managed to hit me with it a time or two. It was like crack to him.

If you grab it and act like you will throw it for him, I'm pretty sure he'd do a triple-sow-cow, ending with some extravagant ballerina move for you. Anyway, he was entertaining himself until he got bored with that and decided that I needed to throw the (at this point) slimy thing for him. So he brings it over to me and puts it on the couch. I am trying to watch Sookie's hair change in every scene and so I just start throwing it down our hallway.

A commercial comes on and I realize that he is very worked up and panting very hard, but is still wanting me to throw it for him. So I throw it one last time and as he gets back to the couch with it, he starts chewing on it (because it's rubbery and it feels funny in his mouth probably) and swallows the thing. "OHMYGAH!!! DID YOU JUST SWALLOW THAT THING?!?! WHAT THE HECK BUBBA!??!" He is looking at me like I'm some kind of crazy person, like nothing ever went wrong (still panting). So I start looking for it, thinking that maybe he dropped it under the couch or something and then he thinks it's a game. When I cannot find the thing, I REALLY start to panic! "OMG!! WHAT IF HE CAN'T DIGEST THAT!?! WHAT IF HE TRIES TO THROW IT UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND CHOKES ON IT?! AND I'M ASLEEP?!?!! OMG! WHAT DO I DO!? DO I MAKE HIM TRY TO GAG IT BACK UP??!!?! OMG I'M GOING TO BE A TERRIBLE MOTHER ONE DAY!!!!!??!!!"

So I call Jay and explain the situation, and he informs me that it's not a big deal, that it SHOULD pass ok, but to keep an eye on him. Exhausted from the emotion apocalypse that just occurred. I realize that Colt is just fine and looking for a cool spot to lay. (He does that when he gets worked up and gets too hot.) I let him sleep with me in the bed, still worried that I might wake up in the middle of the night to find him not breathing. The next day came and he was still perfectly fine, and the day after that and so on.

He still acts as if nothing ever happened, and I still haven't found any orange finger-y poop.

**UPDATE**
This morning, while enjoying my bowl of cereal, Colt was entertaining himself by rolling around on the floor and messing with Annie. I walked out of the room to wash my bowl  and spoon and when i came back he had his head in his kennel and then a few minutes later, this is what I see...
I was beginning to think that that thing had dissolved from his stomach acid! The only other OBVIOUSLY logical explanation would be that Aliens came down and abducted JUST the orange thing. (I've heard they don't like dogs.)

Change is a good thing...unless you're dead flowers

So as you may have noticed, I made a few changes to my page. Well... let's just say it's still really a work in progress. :)

I think that I will slowly begin to tell you stories that have happened to me in the past. But until then... I made you something. :)

This is me... and the sun and just SOME of my flowers... Sometimes the sun and the flowers don't get along too well and then it ends up looking something like this....

And that's pretty much how my flowers look right now... kinda sad. :(
